ABOUT ME

MEET THE AUTHOR

Hey, there, lovebird! I’m Lizzie Franklin (you can also call me Liz)! I’m a Young Adult Contemporary Romance author who is obsessed with making angsty teens fall in love.
I’ve been writing since I was six (retelling Peppa Pig stories only with me and my sister as Peppa and George) but became very serious in 2020, determined to be a full-time author. On March 25, 2020, I started the first draft of my first book. Now I’ve written fifteen and am releasing my debut, BEFORE WE’RE MORE THAN FRIENDS, on the same day five years later! Isn’t it insane how time flies?

And yes, you've read that right. I've written fifteen books (at least fifteen first drafts of fifteen different books). Fourteen couples (one of them demanded a whole new book after I decided against revising their last one). It's such a blessing to be able to finally release the stories I care about to the world for readers to enjoy!

ABOUT MY BOOKS

My mission is to write swoony romances with healthy relationships, witty humor, and serious issues, all without the spice. They may turn out a little (or very) long, but each story follows the authentic journey of realistic characters trying to navigate the world they know. Whether following teens or adults, each book is guaranteed to have sizzling chemistry and kisses without spicy content. That aside, you still may blush a little while squealing and kicking your feet!
Oh, yeah, I REALLY enjoy writing kiss scenes, so there may be quite a few depending on the book (at least four). The most I’ve written in one book is ELEVEN (When We Faced the Music Book #2, if you’re wondering), so be prepared. They range from short and sweet to passionate (and may take place in some interesting locations like Caleb’s hospital bed) but never leave first base.
Trigger and content warnings depend on each book. Some or most of my books contain anxiety, depression, sickness, and/or mentions of death. Language is mild and infrequent, though not non-existent. Oh, and I’m a die-hard fan of third-act breakups. Sorry not sorry. Not to mention DRAMA! My readers love messaging me about how much suffering I put them through, and yeah, it makes my day.
Scary stuff aside, each book has a guaranteed happily ever after. You may even see my characters get married and have kids in future books! Oh, and there will NEVER be the cheating trope! My main characters won’t cheat on their love interests or anyone else. Side characters, well, can’t say the same.
All my books take place in the same universe—the Lizzieverse—so you may see some cameos or cross-overs in other series/books. I have books and series in this universe planned out until 2035, so buckle up for the long haul!
